Chiropractic Adjustments

The chiropractic adjustment is the use of a specific force in a precise direction, applied to a joint that is fixated, "Lock-up", or not moving properly.  The result is the return of the bones to a more normal position or motion.  Adjustments help normalized the spinal function and avoid bone and soft tissue degeneration. Techniques used Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Upper Cervical, and Gonstead.

Extremity Adjustments

Extremity adjustment is the evaluation and specific force in a precise direction, applied to a joint of a upper extremity(shoulder, elbow, wrist, or hand) or lower extremity (hip, knee, ankle, or foot) that is fixated, "Lock-up", or not moving properly.  The result is the return of the bones to a more normal position or motion.  Extremity adjustments help normalized the joints that may be experiencing some pain, crepitus, and avoid the bone and soft tissue degeneration.

Massage

Massage therapists use a variety of techniques to address soft tissue problems.  Gentle kneading and stretching lengthens contracted muscles and fascia.  Massage also increases circulation which helps fascia and muscles begin to soften and lengthen.  Good circulation reduces painful swelling and inflammation, and promotes healing by removing waste products and bringing nutrients to your tissues. In addition, massage triggers the body's relaxation response, interrupting a cycle of stress and muscle tension that can build in response to life's challenges.  Feeling relaxed and rejuvenated after a massage, you are less likely to slip into patterns of tension that can contribute to joint and soft tissue problems.

Kinesio Therapeutic Taping

The proprietary method of taping uses a uniquely designed and patented tape for treatment of muscular disorders and lymphedema reduction.  The Kinesio Taping® Method involves taping over and around muscles in order to assist and give support or to prevent over-contraction. The first technique gives the practitioner the opportunity to actually give support while maintaining full range of motion. This enables the individual to participate in their normal physical activity with functional assistance. The second technique, which is most commonly used in the acute stage of rehabilitation, helps prevent overuse or over-contraction and helps provide facilitation of lymph flow for an entire 24 hour period. Correctional techniques include mechanical, lymphatic, ligament/tendon, fascia, space and functional.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a term that describes the application of ice, cold towel, ice massage and compression to reduce the temperature of tissue directly on or below the surface of the skin.  Surface cooling constricts blood vessels, numbs painful areas, and helps relax muscle spasms.  Cold temperatures reduce nerve transmission of painful symptoms and provides temporary relief.

Superficial Heat

Hot packs, warm moist towels, heating pads and infrared lamps are often used to help raise the temperature of soft tissues directly below the surface of the skin.  Heat applied to the surface of the skin enlarges blood vessels below the surface, relaxing tissues and can temporarily relieve painful symptoms. This treatment increases circulation and relaxes muscles.  It is helpful before or after chiropractic adjustments.

Interferential Electro-Therapy

Interferential therapy is a therapeutic treatment that aids in the relief of pain and the promotion of soft tissue healing.  Tiny amounts of electrical impulses are induced into the tissues in the vicinity of the injury.  This prompts the body to secrete endorphins and other natural pain killers that help relieve pain.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a therapeutic treatment using high frequency sound waves administered in the region of soft tissue injuries.  Sound vibrations, as fast as a million times per second, penetrate the tissues deep in the body, creating a heat response.  These vibrations, along with heat, help break down and disperse unhealthy calcium and other hard tissues.

Digital Thermography/Static Surface EMG/Dynamic Surface EMG

Digital Thermograhy is a computerized scan that shows us evidence of muscle imbalances in the musculature adjacent to spine.  The Surface EMG is the neurological component that shows us the evidence of neural disturbances from the subluxations in the spinal column.  The Dynamic EMG is the neuromuscular component that shows us the muscular imbalances in the spine or extremity of complaint, giving us a designated point for soft tissue injury.

Digital Range of Motion (ROM)

Digital Range of Motion (ROM) is a computerized scan that shows us the active range of motion.  Your actual ROM is a good diagnostic test to determine if you have subluxations or degeneration within your spine.  It also shows us how the spine is moving functionally, which may give good evidence in there is a degenerative process is within the spine.

L.A.S.E.R. Therapy

Laser therapy is the use of laser energy to create therapeutic effects.  Research has shown that these effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling.  Laser therapy is used in treatment of many pain syndromes, and conditions.   Laser therapy is shown to enhance the healing process and render quick, effective pain relief to enable patients to return to more active lifestyles.

Custom Orthotics By (Foot Levelers)

Custom orthotics are inserts placed in you shoe to help improve your body's balance, posture, and alignment.   Foot Levelers are the only custom orthotics designed to support all three arches of the foot.  By providing proper support for your feet, the orthotics by foot levelers help create a balanced foundation for your body.  By balancing your feet, foot levelers orthotics can help improve your posture, enhance your body's performance and efficiency, reduce pain, and contribute to your total body wellness.
